Imas Makina's Energy Is Now From The Sun

Imas Makina, the company of İttifak Holding in the machinery sector, completed the environmentally friendly Solar Power Plant project and started production. İmaş Makina aims to produce 1 million 300 thousand TL of energy annually thanks to the solar energy panels with a capacity of 1780 KWp placed on the roof of its factory in Konya.

Imas Makina, one of Turkey's most exporting companies, completed its Rooftop Solar Energy System (Roof SPP) investment that it started on 31 December 2020. With 5,394 solar energy panels with a capacity of 1780 KWp placed on the roof of the production facility of İmaş, which is located in the Konya 4th Organized Industrial Zone and has a closed area of approximately 30,000 m2, an annual electricity production of 2.413.055 kWh will be realized. With this investment, Imas Makina will be able to meet all of its annual energy needs from natural resources, and to sell the excess energy that may arise to the distribution company.

“We minimize our carbon emissions with renewable energy”

Mustafa Özdemir, General Manager of İmaş Makina, stated that renewable energy has become more important today, where concerns about climate change are increasing day by day; “With the Roof SPP investment we made as İmaş Makina, we make significant contributions not only to our company's economy, but also to the country's economy and nature. Together with the 1780 KWp capacity solar energy system installed in our factory, we will produce 1 million 300 thousand TL of electricity annually. In this way, in addition to meeting all of our annual energy needs from solar energy, we will also sell the surplus energy to distribution companies. The most important gain of the project will be to contribute to the environment by preventing the release of 1,477,833 kg of carbon dioxide gas per year with our renewable energy investment. Considering the amount in question, only 131,621 10-year-old trees can consume and clean, we can see that we have made the right investment decision for our future.” said.
