İmaş Makina Established The First R&D Center Of Its Sector

Exporting 90 percent of its production, İmaş Makina has signed the first R&D center of its sector after its application for the R&D center was approved by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.

Imas Makina, a subsidiary of İttifak Holding, has been successful in obtaining 21 designs and patents within the scope of R&D studies in recent years, and has established an R&D center in order to increase its power in the sector by accelerating its works in this field. Thus, İmaş Makina became the first company to have an R&D center in the machinery and equipment sector in which it operates.

With its headquarters and production facilities in Konya, İmaş Makina has signed the 6th R&D center of Konya with this move. Emphasizing that they export 90 percent of their production to nearly 90 countries, Mustafa Özdemir, General Manager of İmaş Makina, said that they believe that adding value to our country and our people can only be achieved with value-added products or services, and that this can only be achieved through innovation, and in this context, they continue to work on R&D. He said they've been focusing on it in recent years.

Özdemir said, “Our company has been shown among the 250 giant companies in the 'Companies Making the Most R&D Expenditure' survey announced by Turkishtime Magazine. While being 173rd in the general ranking, we managed to be the only company from Konya to be included in the list. We have accelerated our R&D investments and we aim to realize our R&D expenditures at the level of approximately 1.5 million TL by the end of this year. These investments have been very effective in improving our product quality in a short time. While reducing our production costs, we were able to develop products with higher energy efficiency, and this reflected positively on our exports.
